When I was young I was into sketching. I’d spend hours studying the face of my grandmother just to draw her eyes as they really looked. I fell in love with photography in my teens when I realized that it was a lot quicker to take a photo than to spend an hour on a sketch. My first camera was a hand-me-down that was worth less than the film I was putting in it. It had a meter inside that would indicate whether I had proper exposure. At the time it was just fun, not serious, and hardly anyone knew I loved it so much.

Hello there! I'm Monica with Monica Brown Photography. I'm a Destination Wedding Photographer from Indianapolis celebrating adventurous couples passionate about marriage and legacy! My goal is to love God, love people, and preserve legacies through this growing business of ours. You'll never know where your relationships will lead you to. This time, we had a chance to document a beautiful wedding of one of the most good-looking couples, Rachel and Young. Rachel is the sister of Lisha Wang's boyfriend (to be more accurate: fiancé. Congrats Lisha!). Lisha is a dear friend and colleague of mine. I knew her in 2015 and long story short, last year, she referred me to Rachel for her wedding. And that brought us back to Casa Real, one of the most popular and beautiful venues in SF Bay Area.

I have a deep love and appreciation for documentation, especially through photography. I am guilty of over-documenting my three children, anxious to capture each fleeting moment. When I get a chance to document the lives and important moments for my clients I feel honored and approach the task with the same love and passion.

Jenna Christina is a Bay Area based documentary newborn and family photographer specialized in natural sessions in the home. She truly believes that real is more interesting than (Pinterest) perfect.
There really is nothing more interesting than real life, which is why I went down the documentary newborn and family photography path a bit before I even knew there was a movement around it. Because the documentary approach is not very well-known when it comes to family sessions, I wanted to talk a little bit more about it:

When I first started photographing people, I was shaking in my boots. I knew my way around a camera and could compose a solid shot - heck, I even had a degree in the arts! - but I had completely underestimated how powerfully intimate the relationship between photographer and subject can be, and I couldn't seem to find my footing. How was I supposed to capture all "the right" moments? What if a client didn't like my view?

I consider myself extremely lucky as part of my "work" to shoot at magnificent San Francisco City Hall. There are so many beautiful spots to shoot at the City Hall that one can never get tired of the same location. And every couple brings their own uniqueness that changes how the same space can be viewed.

Hi, my name is Toki and I'm happy to share with you a little bit about me (thanks, Basic Invite!) I am an on-location portrait and headshot photographer based in Southern California. Specifically in the small community of Camarillo which is located halfway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. It's truly an honor to be called a beloved Camarillo photographer and I take great joy in knowing that I can make people happy doing what I love. How cool is that?
