I'm Amy, from Amy Louise Photography based in beautiful Seattle, Washington.  I never saw myself as a photographer, even though I have always valued photographs.  I remember as a child, sitting up late with a cousin looking over my Great Grandmother's photo albums for hours.  I loved seeing her family's memories captured.

Like many photographers, my interest in photography spiked with the arrival of my first baby.  I wanted to capture every moment I could, but would often feel frustrated that I couldn't get the images I saw all over Pinterest.  That year, my husband paid for me to take an in person class to learn how to shoot in manual.  Once I got off auto, I was hooked.  I invested in many online classes and in person workshops, as well as reading all sorts of photography related articles and message boards every evening.  I formed my business just a few short months ago and am thrilled with the way things are going.

I’m Alexandra Quinn, a Denver based photographer, who has worked and played with photography all over the world. A special sunset where I grew up on the island of Grenada  piqued my interest in photography. Watching the sun go down and trying to capture that moment became a favorite past time and sunsets were the gateway to a whole host of subjects that I could pursue and photograph.

In 2004 I attended University of Florida to pursue a degree in photojournalism. I love the journalistic approach to photography because it is about just capturing the moment and raw emotion as it happens. I try to incorporate that style of photography into my work.

After graduating, I spent two years traveling through Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia  taking photos and working as a freelance

I glanced into the rearview mirror, and was pleasantly met with a glowing face telling me the entire love story of how she got to this day. The most important day of her life thus far - her wedding day.

I love hearing the stories, and seeing the emotion on the bride's and groom's faces. Capturing these priceless moments are what wedding photography is all about. The privilege of sharing those intimate moments and being the one to bring joy, forever, through captured memories, is what I love most about wedding photography.

To be honest, I grew up thinking I was going to be a Fashion Designer. And although, I dabbled and truly have always enjoyed photography, I never thought of it as a profession I was interested in. That is, until I was shown the true magic of photography.

When I became a mom, I began to realize the importance of having good photos — not just posed pictures, but also captures of children really playing, interacting with mom and dad and each other, and in their natural surroundings. After the birth of my second child, I decided, along with my sister (Melanie Monroe), to take a photography class at a local adult school.

Our minds were blown by the freedom and artistry that we could have by "going manual," and we enjoyed it so much that we
continued taking other courses with the instructor. We scoured the Internet and message boards for more information and instruction in natural light photography, and we practiced with our children constantly.  We were blessed to have a few excellent local photographers as friends and mentors.

My name is Julia Hinton, and I am a wedding and family photographer based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. As someone who has always had a busy schedule, I often wish that time would just stand still. That’s why I love photography; a photograph can make a certain moment last for a lifetime. My goal with the session featured below was to do just that; to give Catherine the chance to stop time and to remember the wonderful memories she made with her daughters while on vacation in Yosemite National Park.

Like myself, Catherine grew up spending a week each summer in Yosemite National Park. She has carried on the tradition with her two daughters, and this past summer I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with them in the park (which I am so grateful for- that place is a dream!)

I specialize in natural light photography. I truly love capturing natural sun flares in my work. There is just something so peaceful about seeing the sun rays run through an image, it's like capturing a piece of heaven on film. My goal is to take candid, authentic, genuine, and timeless memories for my clients. What is most rewarding is hearing that I've brought joy to my clients hearts and tears to their eyes. From a very young age, I've always loved photography. Little did I know my passion would one day by my job. I feel very blessed that I stumbled upon this amazing journey.  For me, photography is very emotional and not mechanical. I can take an image and with one glance know exactly what direction I want to go with it.

Truth be told, I never thought I would end up as a photographer.

When I was 21 years old I was hired as a photojournalist for my college newspaper. After getting fired from a liquor store clerk position, I barged into the newspaper office demanding a job from the photo editor with absolutely zero experience. He told me to bring my portfolio the next day. So naturally I went home and Googled "portfolio" and realized I was in trouble; but I thought what do I have to lose! When I brought in my "portfolio," the photo editor literally laughed so hard his eyes watered! After he composed himself, he said something that changed my life forever, "can you learn fast?"

That was the opportunity I needed.

College was, well college...and I still didn't take photography seriously even though I really enjoyed it. That is probably because I didn't take anything seriously at the time. But, there was a gradual change occurring deep in my soul, something I didn't realize until many years later. At the end

There's nothing better than a beautiful couple, dressed in their finest attire, perfectly posed in front of the most breathtaking backdrop that reality can produce. This is my obsession.

I'm not only blessed with beautiful clients, but also with the opportunity to live and work in perhaps the world's most scenic locations; the small island of Kauai in Hawaii. None of the images that you see on my site are (except of course that silly T-Rex picture) composited images. They are all real people amidst real settings; celebrating the happiest days of their lives.

Achieving a balance between showcasing the amazing background I work around and displaying the vibrance of newlywed couples in their post-wedding bliss is my ultimate task throughout any session. The result is not only a feeling of achievement for me, but also an entertaining spectacle for outside viewers, and a tear-provoking symbol of joy and beauty for the men and women that I work with.

I had a favorite Barbie doll as a young girl. She was this beautiful doll dressed in a creamy, lacy wedding dress. She had diamond studs in her ears and a fancy hair do. I definitely loved to play bride with her. She represented the future possibilities and dreams. Little did I realize that someday I would be honored to capture images of people’s weddings. These images represent their hopes, dreams, and future possibilities.

I am a professional photographer based out of the Orange County, California area. I have been lucky to be photographing for eight years now.   I love to photograph couples in emotional and candid poses. I enjoy offering guidance on poses that help you look your best. I strive to get to know the bride and groom and to put them at ease on their big day. I meet with them several times including an engagement session. During the engagement session, I go over some tricks on posing to make them look their best. I usually demonstrate with myself and enjoy seeing them laugh
