I photographed my first wedding when I was a sophomore in high school. Yes, you read that right! Years later, after a handful more weddings, high school graduation, an engineering degree, my own wedding, and a couple years in corporate America, I decided it was time to go back to where it all began and designed Erika Aileen Photography. Now, as a midwest and destination wedding photographer located in Indiana, I love helping couples foster their own legacy of love as they begin their lives together. I couldn't dream up a better way to spend my time than doing just that.

Spring means so many things to different people. For most it is the season of renewal and new life. For many couples it is the season of love and new beginnings. I wanted to highlight the Spring Love Affair of one of my favorite couples from 2018. I always admire when two people come together and agree to become one with all the peaks and valleys. We were estatic with the results of this wedding celebration. It is my hope that the pictures convey the robust emotions of camaraderie, family, and love that was displayed at this event. Engagement photos taken at the illustrious Sagamore Pendry

I've always loved taking photos! Even when I was a kid I just enjoyed capturing moments. I had never imagined photography as a career option until on a whim I decided to apply to a local art college my senior year of high school, that just so happened to be one of the top art schools in the country. I never thought I would even get in, so I was all set to pursue a criminal justice degree, you know, something "practical" as I had always been told. Lo and behold I got in, scholarship and all. The rest, as they say, is history.

Hi! My name is Jessica Livingston and I am a photographer based in San Diego. If there's one thing I know about art, it's that it is a love that evolves every single day throughout a lifetime. I've always loved taking pictures. My memory is based around photographs - I've noticed that if there's a picture from an event, I remember it; if there's no picture, I have a hard time recalling. I fell in love with the art that goes into taking a picture. Following photographers on social media gave me inspiration and lit a spark in me.

What does this phrase “wedding photojournalism” even mean? People mention it, share it, but it is often misunderstood. Wedding photojournalism primarily focuses on capturing a wedding day as it naturally happens in an unobtrusive way (without any intentional arrangement from the photographer), instead of posing for every image.

Hi there, I am Aly of Aly Incardona Photography, I own and operate a California based business. I shoot all over this beautiful state. From the golden gates of San Francisco to the trails and breathtaking views of Yosemite National Park, this state continues to provide a gorgeous back drop for any type of shoot. I have also been lucky enough to be able to shoot outside of the state. I look forward to future opportunities to do so! When I initially meet my wedding clients, I like to take a moment to get to know them. I love to hear their backstory, interests and get to know them on a more personal level

Panic: the word that comes to mind when recalling my first session. I locked eyes with my couple and had about 8 seconds of silent panic. They were waiting for direction and my mind went blank. All I could think was that if there were awards for The Most Awkward in Front of a Camera, I would receive Gold, Silver and Bronze. Bottom line: I had no business in directing them.

Despite being drawn to photography from an early age, I didn't dabble with it until my first child was born. Capturing all of the beautiful little smiles and moments was not only great but addicting and I just knew that I wanted to photograph important moments for other people as well. It was a while before I began photographing people that I didn't know personally; first I took on travel photography. At the time, living abroad provided all of the opportunities one could hope for in travel photography and I loved photographing every bit of my surroundings. However, the towering structures and unique traits of each place I visited had nothing on the versatility and raw honesty of the people belonging to them.

I found my love of photography back in 1989 when my son was 6 weeks old and I took him into JcPenny’s for pictures. They had a help wanted sign, I applied and so began my love of photography. I worked at JcPenny’s portrait studio and Expressly portraits for about 4-5 years. I then was in need of a job with good pay and benefits, so I went to work at UC Davis. Fast forward to 2010 everyone busy with their hobbies and me, well I asked Santa to get me a Nikon for Christmas, and he did! Long story short, I started taking pictures of family and friends and next thing I knew friends of friends were asking me to do their photos and offered to pay. What?! Get paid to do what I love, why heck yes!

Newborn sessions are my favorite for so many reasons. I didn't wake up and plan to become a newborn photographer, but I do think my journey began like many other photographers. I had children of my own, and wanted to document every moment of their lives. I didn't want to have just snapshots of them, either. I've never been able to figure out the camera on my phone. I wanted to create art that could be framed or made into books and albums. Photographs help us remember things we never want to forget. After having the amazing opportunity to photograph weddings, children, families, and events, there is nothing quite like the joy of new life. Capturing these tiny humans is what makes my heart truly happy.
