Welcome!! I'm so excited to be a part of the featured photographers here on Basic Invites!! I’m Natalie Jayne, an almost-always-barefoot fine art Virginia wedding photographer based in Richmond, Virginia and I’m so glad you’re here. I am a bicoastal photographer; which means I travel between California and Virginia throughout the year. I’m a hopeless romantic with a big smile and a big heart for capturing incredible couples across the globe.
I believe in capturing relationships in a timeless, romantic way while still having those effortless moments of joy in between. I value experience in life more than anything else, so it’s important to me to have a great experience for my couples that are undeniably in love.Â
I am one of a small handful of Richmond, VA wedding photographers who is formally trained, as well as self-taught. Earning a BFA in Photography & film from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Arts.
After ten years in wedding photography, I still get butterflies in my stomach on the drive to a venue the day of. I feel the weight of the responsibility – there’s no do-over of a wedding day, and my clients’ grandchildren will be looking at these images long after I’m gone (or retired, at least!) – and I want with all my heart to do the best job possible. But the magic happens, for me, once I get there and set up, slinging my lens bag over my shoulder and the camera strap around my neck. When my client has trusted me to do what I do best – to see light and shadow, moments and emotions, expressions and movements, and translate all that into memories that will last forever – I slip into my zone. It can be exhausting and stressful, but it’s also exhilarating, joyful, and just plain fun.
Hi there, I am Aly of Aly Incardona Photography, I own and operate a California based business. I shoot all over this beautiful state. From the golden gates of San Francisco to the trails and breathtaking views of Yosemite National Park, this state continues to provide a gorgeous back drop for any type of shoot. I have also been lucky enough to be able to shoot outside of the state. I look forward to future opportunities to do so! When I initially meet my wedding clients, I like to take a moment to get to know them. I love to hear their backstory, interests and get to know them on a more personal level
I'm Norm Roberts the Fifth, an artist who has spent more than a decade perfecting the medium of light. During that time I've photographed a little bit of everything; brides and grooms, models, landscapes, hotels, products, you name it. But as I mastered my craft I concluded that there's just something inexplicably wonderful about photographing people. From romantic elopements in Yosemite, to elegant weddings here in Los Angeles, artistically photographing people to create images that tell their love story is my passion. For me, photography isn't a means to a paycheck, but a method of artistic expression.
Although each wedding is different in many ways, they have one thing in common: family photos. This is a rare chance when you have all of your beloved ones with you. Everyone dresses nicely and feels so much joy. The photos you take with these people will not only important to you but also to them. Many couples were excited and thought it would be easy to do. After all, everyone just needs to stand together for photos. Doesn't it sound easy? No, it is not.
To say I love adventure wedding photography is a bit of an understatement. Though I'm based in New York and California, I've worked on six different continents as a photographer--and the more adventure we have on a shoot, the better!Â
Photography has been a passion of mine since I found an old polaroid in my parent's hall closet as a kid. I've always loved to document, and I love to feel every experience I have to the fullest. As I grew up, I traveled and became a journalist. Photography became a way for me not only to report, but it continued to be a way for me to experience the world.
After photographing more than 150 weddings over the past 7 years, I've created a style that is as timeless as art, documented for generations and beautiful in it's nature. My job is so much more than creating beautiful pictures, it's encapsulating moments in time from one of the most memorable days of your lives. My name is Majesta and I'm a wedding and lifestyle portrait photographer.
I have been photographing weddings since 2001 in many beautiful locations. From the amazing beaches of Santa Barbara and Cabo San Lucas to the lush Sonoma Valley and busy San Diego. My absolute favorite place that I prefer to shoot weddings, is in my very own hometown of Ventura, California. Ventura County includes wedding venues in the cities of Ojai, Camarillo, Fillmore, Somis and many more! Ventura has so much to offer from mountain landscapes, sunny beaches, and unique downtown areas with some eclectic & beautiful architecture like the Historical Arcade in Ojai or at the more modern and recently remodeled, Museum of Ventura County.
Born and raised in Southern California. I grew up within a very creative and artistic family. My dad, the musician, who sings and creates BEAUTIFUL music. My brother, the producer, who engineers audio. My sister, the stylist, who can bring any vision to life with her hands. My mom, the decorator, who can turn any space into a work of art. & then me! The creator of all things beautiful. Lifestyle and editorial wedding photographer + a graphic designer for REVOLVE & FWRD when I am not behind the lens. You can say creative runs deep in this family!
