My love for photography started when I was 12 years old. My father bought a used Nikon FM at a garage sale. He saw how it interested me and quickly said, “Here honey, you can have this.” I was hooked the second I learned how to manually load the film and heard the sound of the shutter opening and closing.

MadieRose Photography was culmination of a life-long dream. Even at a very young age when I picked up a camera for the first time and had not the slightest idea the power a shutter could hold. Not power in terms of electricity, but the power behind an everlasting memory one could hold and cherish for days, even years. Since then, I’ve always had a passion for capturing special moments that could potentially never happen the same way again. Why not control the medium to make others happy? Why not share this passion of mine with others and share the joy I experience? This idea spurred an amazing and fruitful journey, with my late grandmother and great grandmother being at the combined root of the name MadieRose.

My passion in life is event photography. While attending Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, I began photographing events on campus and soon became employed as a freelance photographer for the college. I brought my camera everywhere and soon became well-known for my work, even though I studied English and Literature, and believed writing was my only true creative outlet.

Photography has always been part of my life. Growing up, my parents walls were jammed with  photos. From their youth, of my great grandparents, grandparents and me! It was a story of their life, my history and my childhood. I didn’t realize it then, but it sparked a lifelong love of photography. It wasn't until an unexpected move from London to Seattle, that I finally got the opportunity to pursue my passion as a maternity and family photographer.

Hello!

Let's have a chat. Go grab a cup of coffee (no really, go do it!) and get comfortable. I want to share something from the heart with you. First, before we delve into that story, let me share a little bit about myself.

My name is Tanya Lyn and I am a very proud wife and mother of two. I have owned Belly Glow Photography studio since 2010 when we first launched! I live with my family in Oceanside, California and would never dream of moving! I love everything about my sleepy little town by the sea.

There is nothing better than photographing a High School Senior. There is a great sense of adventure and uncertainty that is present every time I meet an excited upcoming graduate.
I love to talk with each of my Seniors before the session begins to get a sense of their style, their likes and dislikes, their ideas and their personality. This really helps me create a vision on how they are expecting their photos to look in the end.

I knew I was an artist since 7 when I had to write a paragraph about my future career.  It felt like I was just born that way, a creative, so it would make a good job for me.  At 15, I borrowed my sister's camera and made an album to take to my first photo class, one of the only classes I was excited about.  I loved watching the images emerge in the darkroom at school and my teacher even gave me extra film and paper for dedicating to the craft so much.

“I believe that every photo shares a story, a moment in time that will never happen again. My intent is to share that story with the world.”

It all seriously started during the summer of 1997, the year I purchased my first film camera. The moment I picked it up and started shooting my every-day surroundings, like landscapes people, and murals, I was hooked. Through apprenticeships with several master photographers, I learned shooting techniques, lighting, and composition.

Hello and my name is Ballad representing Ballad Hall Photography.  I am a freelance photographer based out of the Central Coast of California.  My business is coming on the ten year mark now. It's a blessing beyond measure to do what I love for a living.  This business runs solely on word of mouth and referrals as relationships are top priority in my book.  I want my clients to have the best experience they could imagine with their photographer. Photos should help a couple to reminisce about the fun they have together when they look at them.

Thank you for stopping by! My name is Callie Sterling and I am ½ of a husband & wife photography team. My husband, Jaison, makes up the other ½ of our duo. We each have our own unique way of storytelling and our own story of how we came to love photography; but our success has been achieved together 100%.
