Why San Francisco City Hall is the best venue to elope?

Ok, so he or she popped a question and you said Yes, congratulations! You started day dreaming about your unforgettable Big Day, but paying off wedding debt its not really a priority on your to do list after the wedding. How about eloping? I know, sounds so easy, but where, how soon, how much would that cost?

Idea#1 Choose a place that you always wanted to visit, hopefully it’s on his bucket list too. Hire a local independent wedding officiant and you are all set, right? Not really, you still need a hotel, airplane tickets, dress, but on top if it some places, like beaches, parks and landmarks will still require an event permits, even though its just two of you (plus officiant), and now you are dealing with more paperwork.

Idea#2 Hire a wedding planning agency who specialize in elopes and could arrange everything, from hotel to photographer, but if you are budget oriented couple and don't want to leave any decision making to someone

I have always been an artsy person dabbling in drawing, teaching myself to play the piano, & becoming a photographer. I my started off my journey as a photographer in high school when my grandmother who I called Nanny, had passed away of Ovarian Cancer. I had inherited her film camera that she loved so much & she took it EVERYWHERE! The love she had for photography was passed down to me & I became interested in the simple things that beginner photographers do, you know, the every tiny detail subject to snap a photo at. I loved the film camera but wanted something modern & fresh so in 2010 I bought my first DSLR & all the bells & whistles to go with it.

Then in 2011 I opened my business. There came a passion in me that needed to know so much more. I wanted to be better with each image. I finally started becoming the photographer I wanted to be but my motto is, never stop learning! I am still growing & learning new things, always surprising myself with each new technique.

Hey y’all! My name is Melissa and I’m the owner of Melissa R Berry Photography in Huntsville, Alabama. I’ve been shooting professionally for about two years, but photography has always been a passion of mine. That passion for photography together with a B.S. in Marketing and a love of people make for a perfect combination.

Most of my photographs are captured with natural lighting, but I also do some off camera flash, depending on conditions and how dramatic I want the picture to turn out. I guess my style would probably be considered artsy. Most of my business comes from high school seniors and they are always up for something different and fun. And fun is the selling point of my sessions! If there’s one thing high school seniors tell their friends about me, it’s that I make the session fun – something I’m very proud of!

Wedding photography is challenging, fun and exciting wrapped up into one special day to watch people come together for a lifetime. I began 2b|Photography in 2012, and specialized in weddings shortly thereafter in 2014.

Entering our third year, I have quickly realized the privilege to walk beside a bride through her big day. Many other vendors may only be there for catering the reception or provide music throughout the ceremony. As photographers, we are the calming face if the tuxes didn't show up on time or help the bride stay calm as the ceremony is running late. We are the professional reassurance to the bride that everything is under control, we've seen this happen before, and we will continue the day as she envisioned.

My favorite part of the wedding day is right after the ceremony, because I'm normally one of the first people to say "Congratulations!" I also enjoy photographing the small details. The dress. The shoes. The jewelry. It's an easy thing to miss, but it really means a lot

Saaty Photography: Downtown Flagstaff Wedding

A selection of images from Katherine and Chris’s Flagstaff Wedding. The ceremony was held at the gorgeous Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel in the heart of downtown.  Many of their family and friends were able to be involved in the special ceremony.

The reception was held at Hotel Weatherford. I absolutely love shooting at both of these venues. The ceremony was intimate and the church was gorgeous.The whole day had a vintage feel to it – one of my favorite types of weddings. The winter weather was absolutely perfect. It was warm and sunny the whole day! I had a great time exploring the Downtown Flagstaff area with the newly weds. We were able to utilize the colorful walls and unique Flagstaff scenery in the images. Congratulations to Kate and Chris!
