Nicholas Horton Photography | West Coast Wedding Photographer

Hello, my name is Nicholas Horton and I am a wedding photographer based out of Scottsdale, Arizona. In my twelve years of photographing portraits, I’ve transformed from a photographer who didn’t love weddings and engagements to one that raves about them. Why? I realized that photography doesn’t live in a box. Weddings today can consist of two people, or two hundred. They can be adventurous, fashionable, deeply personal, and most importantly - a lot of fun.

Fields of grapes and layers of mountains are a common backdrop in Wine Country

My photography background is deeply rooted in film and messing around in the darkroom. The digital age has made the profession more accessible than ever, but it is far from a replacement. While I shoot both digital and film, I rely on the latter to preserve a feeling and retain the emotions of the moment. I’ve spent most of my career experimenting with various film stocks, chemistry, and formats to create a style that is both unique and timeless. I’m still learning, and with every photo shoot I strive to experiment with something new, avoid trends, and tell a story with intricate detail.

Unscripted moments, vintage and rustic details are my absolute favorite.

Hans Fahden Winery in Calistoga, CA is an amazing venue for small to midsized weddings.

To date, my photography career has taken me to ten states and three countries. I’ve had the privilege of working with over eighty amazing couples and some of the biggest vendors in the industry. I love what I do, and I am deeply grateful to be a part of one of the most important days in someone’s lifetime.

Fuji films provide such a romantic mood and is perfect for wedding photography.
