Gorgeous!

“I bought a Lakeside bungalow a few years ago and have been doing everything in my power to make the house look bigger, not leaning into the charm of the coziness of the house. Well, that all changed a few weeks ago when I decided that wallpaper was going to be a new addition to my bathroom. I placed the order and the wallpaper was to my house within just a few days. It was packaged well and in perfect shape when it arrived. I read the directions and followed everything that I was guided to do to prep the wall, then I started hanging the peel and stick wallpaper… It’s not as easy as you think it would be. The paper is very high-quality so it’s thick and a bit cumbersome, but I found my groove. The wallpaper is beautiful. I can see a couple of places where I should have sanded down a bit more where old nail holes were because there’s a little bit of a rise in the wallpaper and it can develop an air bubble. But I was able to un peel in certain places and push the air bubbles out. I say all of this to say that it is gorgeous wallpaper, the quality is really nice, but it’s no cheaper than normal wallpaper, actually it’s a bit more expensive, and it isn’t easier to apply than traditional wallpaper. Those were some misconceptions I had about the peel and stick wallpaper. However, I do like to change my decor often and feel good about it being peel and stick; I can just peel it off when I’m ready for something new. The good thing about it is that I feel like the quality is nice enough to where it will last and stay on the wall until I’m ready to take it down. Now, I’ve just got to style the rest of the bathroom and I think I’m good to go! Thank you, Love vs Design for creating such beautiful patterns and such high-quality peel and stick wallpaper!”

“Shipping was quick and the ordering process was quick and easy. Application was super easy and while kids were running around I was able to get in up in about 20 minutes, less if I didn't hear mom 10000x I've had no issues with it peeling. We have used this brand before and had it on our wall for 2 years before we moved. I can confidently say that the removal process is just as easy. I had an issue with ordering the wrong type of wallpaper and customer service was quick to reply and help! They were completely understanding and had replacement sent immediately ”

Review by RobynWhy Shiplap Peel and Stick Wallpaper Might Be Your New Favorite Design Hack
You’ve seen it everywhere—from Pinterest boards to HGTV makeovers. Shiplap is basically the denim jacket of interior design: classic, versatile, and effortlessly cool. But installing the real thing? That’s a weekend project with splinters, sawdust, and a lot of measuring tape. Luckily, there's a shortcut that doesn’t look like one: shiplap peel and stick wallpaper.
Love vs Design offers peel and stick shiplap wallpaper you are going to absolutely love. Unlike most vendors Love vs. Design lets you change the color or the wood and even the grain so you can create the exact shiplap look for your home with no compromises.
Let’s talk about why—and when—it just makes sense.
What is Shiplap Peel and Stick Wallpaper?
Think of it as shiplap’s chill, low-maintenance cousin. This wallpaper comes with an adhesive back, so there’s no need for glue or nails. You just peel off the backing and smooth it onto your wall. And voilà—instant character.
So, when should you be using peel and stick shiplap wallpaper vs the real thing?
1. You rent your place—or you’re just noncommittal.
Traditional shiplap means you’re essentially remodeling your wall. Great if you own the place; not so great if you’re hoping to get your security deposit back. Peel and stick wallpaper comes off clean, no tools required. It’s perfect for renters, short-term fixes, or anyone who likes to switch things up every now and then.
2. You want a transformation without turning your living room into a construction zone.
If you’ve got an afternoon and a vision, this wallpaper can turn a “meh” room into something magazine-worthy. There’s no need to wait for paint to dry or deal with sawdust in your socks. Plus, it’s kind of fun—like contact paper, but way more stylish.
3. Your budget doesn’t stretch to real wood planks.
Let’s not sugarcoat it: real shiplap can cost a small fortune. Between the materials, tools, and labor (assuming you're not the DIY type), it adds up fast. Shiplap wallpaper gives you that same clean, cozy look for way less cash—and honestly, most people can’t tell the difference unless they walk up and knock on your wall.
4. You're working with weird spaces.
Ever tried adding wood paneling behind a sloped ceiling or in a narrow hallway? It’s… not fun. Peel and stick wallpaper bends, trims, and flexes its way into places where actual shiplap just wouldn't work. It’s ideal for closet walls, nook backsplashes, or that random corner that’s begging for some love.
5. You're staging, shooting, or just styling for the 'gram.
Whether you're flipping a house or filming your next video call, this wallpaper photographs beautifully. It gives off that warm, farmhouse vibe that makes a space feel instantly lived-in—and in a good way. Think cozy Airbnb vibes without the cleaning fee.
Why Shiplap Over Other Wallpaper Designs?
Peel and stick shiplap wallpaper hits a sweet spot between rustic and clean. Unlike bold patterns that can scream “trend of the month,” shiplap is neutral without being boring. White or weathered gray versions work with just about any aesthetic—Scandi, coastal, industrial—you name it.
If you love the look of shiplap but don’t have the tools, the time, or the long-term commitment, peel and stick wallpaper is the move. It’s simple, affordable, and way more flexible than the real thing. In short: it’s design freedom in a roll.
Most Asked Questions About Shiplap Wallpaper
What colors are most popular for shiplap peel and stick wallpaper?
White is the most widely sought after color for shiplap peel and stick wallpaper due to its classic, clean, and farmhouse-style appeal. Soft grays, wood grain aesthetics, and even charcoal or black versions in distress are also on trend for creating a rustic, coastal, or modern farmhouse feel. The neutral color palettes provide the flexibility to match well with many different types of furnishings and accent items.
Does peel and stick shiplap look realistic?
High-quality, peel and stick shiplap wallpaper can be surprisingly realistic, particularly when it is textured-printed, shadowed, and matte-finished. Although it cannot match the actual depth of real boards of wood, good designs are able to convincingly simulate the grain, grooves, and color shading of actual shiplap to the extent of producing a credible impression at short range.
What design styles does shiplap peel and stick wallpaper complement?
Shiplap wallpaper is suitable with various interior design schemes, particularly farmhouse, coast, cottagecore, rustically styled, and transitional designs. In light gray or white, it provides an airy, soft atmosphere that is best for Scandinavian or minimalist design. Darker colorations or distressed textures give it an industrial or lodge-like appeal and are an adaptable choice for many areas.
Is shiplap peel and stick wallpaper easy to install, especially aligning the planks?
Yes, it is relatively straightforward to install, but getting each plank exactly right is the secret to having an unbroken appearance. Due to the design depending on sharp horizontal lines, small misalignments between the strips become very noticeable. Spending the extra little bit of effort to level the first piece and using a laser level guide or guide line can simplify and professionalize the remainder of the install.
