“I absolutely love this pattern. I was looking for a toile aesthetic without any of the typical pastoral characters; and this fairy and mushroom design was perfect. For my plaster wall, freshly painted with a custom color to match the matte backing of the wallpaper, I ordered the glissade in Eggshell and Carolina. It was especially nice that this pattern repeats at the edge perfectly with no need to keep multiple panels in a specific order - they are exactly the same, no matter how many you use. I also liked how sturdy the paper was; it did not rip easily or crinkle or pick up lots of lint/hair as I worked with it. Actually, I needed to bear down pretty hard with my new exact-o knife blade to cut off the top/bottom edges when a panel was complete. Made me feel like I couldn't hurt anything in the process and could really push this wallpaper around. The tutorials do not explain WHY you want to leave an inch at the top of the wall instead of simply starting with the already straight edge, but I figured it allows for if the ceiling is not straight all the way across. I decided to just trust the process of loosely taping a panel in place, with an inch allowance at the ceiling, and got myself a spray bottle and a ladder. The brayer included in the materials is all I needed for smoothing the panels down perfectly (as long as they were properly wet on the back). Some helpful additions were a work lamp creating raking light to reveal any bumps I missed in the first passes, a damp cloth to wipe off excess glue, and a towel on the floor to catch all the spraying/dripping water needed to activate the glue. A second person to hold the panel rolled up and keep it from getting wet all the way down as you're trying to secure the top is invaluable, too. There was one panel where I mistakenly left several dry spots right in the middle, making little proud air pockets off the wall, so I was able to test how easily the panels can be removed when I needed to peel it back and correct the mistake. More water under the edges and a little extra waiting time for saturation but then the paper came off with no rips and was still not too soggy to be adhered a second time. The product is very much as advertised when it comes to ease of application and removal. It has taken me four months to do a 12 foot wall (one 2 foot panel a day when I had the time and energy), but now that I'm finished, I am overjoyed with the look! (my picture is only partial progress but I think that's helpful when other reviews here have a finished room photo already) This is a step towards the bedroom of my dreams, and I am so happy that Love vs Design had the perfect product for my endeavor! Highly recommend.”

Review by DanielleThe Return to Art Deco Provides Effortless Glam to Any Room With Peel and Stick Wallpaper Designs
Art Deco is all the rage and not just in building structures or upscale furniture. It's making an appearance in an area that's equally practical as it is chic: peel-and-stick wallpaper. With geometric shapes, metallic accents, and unapologetic glamour, Art Deco peel and stick wallpaper is an easy way to introduce a classic vintage flair to modern spaces, without the permanence of traditional wallpaper.
Whether decorating an entire room or simply looking for an eye catching feature wall, An Art Deco style of wallpaper provides an injection of sophistication that’s easy to use and timeless. Here's why Art Deco is such a winner, how to incorporate it, and some considerations before making the leap.
Peel and stick Art Deco wallpaper is old-school glamour with modern convenience. This style adds an air of luxury and design confidence that's difficult to achieve with paint or simple prints. If you embrace the drama with gold and black or go modern with a simple deco design, this style has your space speaking with style.
Where and Why You Ought to Use Art Deco Peel and Stick Wallpaper in Your Home
Several factors make Art Deco distinctive.
Art Deco materialized in the 1920s and 1930s as reaction to modernism's streamlined lines, but with added opulence and flair. Gatsby-esque interiors, geometric lines, symmetrical design, and metallic tones. This is all about design confidence, not hesitation to make a statement.
Common Art Deco motifs include:
- Fan or sunburst patterns
- Repeating arches or scalloping
- Chevron patterns and zigzags
- Geometric symmetry and stylized florals
- Rich contrast, particularly black and gold or black and white
These motifs look lovely in the form of wallpaper. In limited quantities, they confer an air that is sophisticated but not stodgy.
Where to Use Art Deco Wallpaper
Art Deco wallpaper is most effective where it is allowed to be center stage. You don’t have to hang it on all walls to have an impact. Use it in:
Accent walls – One Art Deco-patterned wall behind a bed, sofa, or dining table is an instant focal point.
Hallways and entranceways – These transitional areas are ideal for something dramatic and fashionable. They determine the tone for the rest of your home.
Powder rooms – Small areas are perfect for statement wallpaper. A dramatic gold and black Art Deco print can transform an ordinary bathroom into an interior design highlight.
Home offices – Do you want to feel more refined and assertive while working? Art Deco wallpaper will bring that touch.
Ceilings – Yes, the fifth wall matters. Add unexpected style and depth with an Art Deco design on the ceiling.
The secret is allowing the wallpaper to dictate. Match it with simple furnishings and accessories so that it is not overwhelming or cluttered.
Current Color Trends
The most traditional Art Deco color palette is one of gold and black—luxuriant, dark, and glamorous. However, peel and stick wallpaper has brought more flexibility to the look. Nowadays, you can find:
Black & White: This offers high-contrast, crisp appearance that is suitable for contemporary spaces.
Navy with Brass: Get a softer, layered version of the classic combination.
Emerald green with Lush Pink: Complemented with metallics will give you a contemporary touch to a traditional pattern.
Soft Neutrals: Off-white, gray, and beige in deco patterns for a subtle appearance.
These adaptations permit you to design Art Deco to your desired degree of boldness, suitable for whatever environment.
Most Asked Questions About Peel and Stick Art Deco Wallpaper
What are the defining characteristics of Art Deco wallpaper?
It's all about geometric glamour and sleek elegance when it comes to Art Deco wallpaper. Expect to notice sharp angles, curvy lines, and repeating patterns such as chevrons, sunbursts, zigzags, and fan motifs—usually offset with metallic colors or dramatic, moody hues such as black, gold, green, or navy blue. The aesthetic is both old-school yet modern, evoking the glamour of the 1920s and '30s but still making an unapologetic, modern statement.
What furniture styles complement Art Deco wallpaper?
In order to design an Art Deco-effect space, seek furniture that is sleek, sculptural, and luxurious in feel. Consider mirrored finishes, surface finishes in lacquer, curved lines, or upholstery in velvet or leather. Items with chrome details or brass features work particularly effectively. A tufted velvet sofa, a round glass coffee table, or sideboard inlaid with geometric patterns would look gorgeous over an eye-catching Art Deco style backdrop wallpaper.
Art Deco is most often associated with metallic materials.
Historically, Art Deco wallpaper was printed on paper or cloth using complex screen-printing or foil processes. Modern versions, such as ours, are now usually printed on high-quality, wear-resistant vinyl or woven materials. These new materials permit fine detail and more even application while still keeping that classic Art Deco refinement.
Are there are peel and stick Art Deco wallpapers available?
